(1998 to 2006), talks organiser for Museum AGM and Solly Lecture (since 2000), and archivist (since 2005). Occupations before retirement: Entomologist (Infestation Control Division, Ministry of Agriculture and Food)1951 to 1957; full-time wife & mother, three sons 1958 to 1966; O-level and A-level Biology teacher in Leicester Secondary Schools and adult evening classes 1966 to 1986. Leisure interests: family history and local history, (formerly also bookbinding and patchwork). Since 1990, Blandford names and town history (also Dorset in general).
