Education
We currently offer some exciting programmes for primary and secondary education including loan boxes for key stages 1 and 2 containing artefacts unique to the Blandford area. These boxes can be tailored to suit the needs of the surrounding villages with photographs, maps and much more. For key stages 3 and 4 we can offer more in depth material suitable for both the classroom and personal projects. To compliment these we can arrange for school visits at any time during the year and are happy to structure the visits to specific topics.
For adults we offer a variety of courses and lectures throughout the year, past lectures have included such subjects as Shillingstone Station (Bob Nother), Dorsets Living Landscape (Tony Bates), Literary Walks in Dorset (David Caddy) and Turnpikes and Dorset Coaching Days (Rob Curtis) to name just a few. The Solly and Brodie Lectures have included such subjects as Tales of Dorset Butterflies (Dick Vane-Wright), Vikings in Britain (Julian Richards) and Dorset's World Heritage Coast (Richard Edmonds).
